Uploading Videos

Videos work the same way as photos on the Our Work page — upload them to the “gallery” folder in Directus and they appear on the website automatically. Videos show a play button icon in the gallery grid and open in a full-screen viewer when clicked.

  • MP4 — the only supported video format

  1. Log in to Directus.
  2. Click the Files icon in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the “gallery” folder.
  4. Click the Upload button.
  5. Click Upload a File and select your MP4 video — or drag and drop it.
  6. Wait patiently — videos are much larger files than photos and may take a few minutes to upload depending on your internet speed.
  7. Once the upload finishes, the video will appear in the gallery folder and on the website.

Large video files take longer to upload and may slow down your website for visitors. To keep things running fast:

  • Keep videos under 50 MB when possible
  • Trim your videos — shorter clips (15–60 seconds) work best for a gallery
  • If you need help compressing a video, ask your developer

Like photos, videos appear with newest uploads first in the gallery. If you want a specific video to appear near the top, upload it last.

  1. Open the Files area and go to the gallery folder.
  2. Find the video you want to remove.
  3. Right-click it (or use the three-dot menu) and select Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
