Social Media Links

Your social media links appear as icons in the footer of every page. This guide shows you how to update them.

Where to Find It

Section titled “Where to Find It”
  1. Log in to Directus.
  2. Click Content in the left sidebar.
  3. Click settings.
  4. Scroll down to the social_media field.
Section titled “Editing an Existing Link”
  1. Click on the social media entry you want to update.
  2. Click the url field and replace it with the correct link to your profile.
    • Example: https://www.facebook.com/yourbusiness
  3. Click Save in the top right corner.

Adding a New Social Media Account

Section titled “Adding a New Social Media Account”
  1. In the social_media area, click + Create New.
  2. Fill in the following fields:
    • name — The platform name (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
    • url — The full link to your profile page
    • icon — The icon name for that platform (ask your developer if you’re unsure)
  3. Click Save.

Removing a Social Media Account

Section titled “Removing a Social Media Account”
  1. In the social_media field, click the entry you want to remove.
  2. Click the Delete icon (trash can).
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
  4. Click Save on the main settings page.
